Eddie Oliver is the Executive Director of the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. Under his leadership, the seven regional food banks serving the Commonwealth are working together to improve access to nutritious food for all Virginians. Prior to his start with the Federation in January 2018, Mr. Oliver served as the No Kid Hungry Virginia State Director, leading the statewide campaign to increase participation in federal child nutrition programs in partnership with First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe. His efforts led to an annual increase of 10 million school breakfasts and 2 million afterschool meals and snacks served to Virginia students. For the past eight years, he has worked with a broad range of partners across the Commonwealth to build a better food system that works for everyone, and is continuing that mission by leading the collaborative priorities for Virginia’s food banks.

Meaghan Butler is a registered dietitian and public health professional who is committed to improving policies, systems, and environments so that all people can attain their desired level of health. In her current role as Health Equity Director, she is strengthening the capacity of Virginia’s food banks to improve health equity by facilitating the implementation of our statewide health equity plan and deepening our collaboration with the health sector.
Nicole Salinas
Nutrition Benefits Access Coordinator

Nicole Salinas is the Nutrition Benefits Access Coordinator for the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. In this role, she enhances public awareness of Federal nutrition programs to increase access and participation in the Commonwealth. Previously, she served as the Food Safety and Quality Manager at Greenswell Growers, a local donor of leafy greens. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Virginia Tech with a strong background in food and agricultural development. In college, she was active in efforts to address food insecurity in the New River Valley area. She is excited to use her experience and passion for the mission to help more Virginians access the programs they need to thrive.
Hollie Lutz

Hollie joined the Federation in 2023 with a dozen years of food banking experience. Beginning in 2010, she supported the Agency Services department at Northern Illinois Food Bank. After holding roles in SNAP outreach and healthcare partnerships, she joined the Feeding America National Organization in 2017 to focus on senior hunger. She continued to expand her leadership until her departure in 2022 as the Director of Equitable Access. These roles, plus experience in several other nonprofits and Virginia state government, have given her a wide-ranging perspective on grant writing, community engagement, program development, and evaluation. She is passionate about food justice and co-creating solutions within communities.
Hollie earned her Masters degree in Gender and Women’s Studies from DePaul University in Chicago and holds a certificate in Trauma-Informed Organizations. In her free time, she volunteers as a Zumba Gold fitness instructor for older adults and people living with disabilities. She lives in Richmond and enjoys growing veggies, cooking, and spending time with Amelia, her spry 14-year-old pug.
