Virginia’s food banks offer many innovative programs to help get food to the neediest individuals. In order to reach vulnerable populations, food bank staff members go beyond standard distribution to agencies to ensure that hungry Virginians are fed.

Member programs include:

Weekend Backpacks

– School-based pantries and mobile markets

Summer Food Service Program

– After-school meals and snacks

– Nutrition education

– Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

**Please note that each of the Federation’s network food banks participate in and offer a unique variety of programs. Check with your local food bank to see which programs are available in your area.
