Use Your Voice
We believe in bringing those with lived experiences to the change making table to elevate their needs and advocate for policies that work to end food insecurity in the Commonwealth. Help use your voice to educate the public and government leaders about the negative consequences of food insecurity and the need for additional public investment.
The Federation of Virginia Food Banks occasionally makes grants to or contracts with other nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, educational institutions and its own members in support of initiatives designed to improve food security for Virginians. While recognizing that such parties incur both direct and indirect (facility and administrative) expenses when fulfilling the terms of grants and contracts, the Federation limits reimbursement for indirect expenses to a maximum of 15% of the total award or contract.
