Neighbors across Virginia are feeling the effects of an ongoing federal government shutdown. As we navigate this challenging time, communities, partners, and volunteers are coming together to ensure every family has access to the nutrition they need.
The Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance Program (VENA) will use state funds to load 25% of SNAP participants’ monthly benefit onto EBT cards on a weekly basis, beginning November 3rd for some households. For the latest information on SNAP in Virginia, visit the official website at dss.virginia.gov/vena.
If you or someone you know needs groceries, find your local pantry at vafoodbanks.org/find-food. Be sure to call ahead to confirm hours.
Together, we’re working to ensure no Virginian goes hungry!
